If there were Battlefield Heroes Female Characters the national ones could perhaps look something like this.
This is my first drawing where i'm truly happy with the inking. I inked a couple of ric plata's ~ricplata pencil drawings and gained some understanding on how to ink with more variation. I was stupid and drew this without reference so I got the riding-pants wrong. Maybe I'll fix that sometime (or maybe I'll just move on).
The Battlefield Heroes logos are EA Dice (C)(R) etc. By the way I think Battlefield Heroes is one of the best looking (3d) games out there. It's graphic design is simply awesome. [link]
I couldn't agree more! I've always preferred a good art style over "realistic graphics" and I still consider Wind Waker to be the prettiest 3d game ever made. I think as PCs and consoles get more and more powerful there is a certain point at which the wow factor of "realism" will fade and developers will get more and more playful with their art style. I hope, anyhoo.
Thanks, I eventually gave up on that game because I just don't have the programming chops (math and I can never be friends) I spent so much time trying to wrap my head around just having a functional engine that I never got to focus on the fun parts (graphics, level design and music).
Yep, I LOVE making music and had a semi-completed soundtrack for the game. ^_^
Yeah, wind waker is definitely one of the best looking games around. Nintendo seems to be pretty smart on that front and understands there's lots of people who want "cartoony" games too like e.g. Wario Land: Shake It / Shake dimension. Btw have you heard of DeathSpank? That's a pretty cool looking recent game, especially the world / backgrounds [link]
I've done a fair amount of coding too and it's usually really hard to finish games unless their really small projects.
Really like that shadow of the beastish "floating" music in your game video, do you have the soundtrack or some other of your music uploaded somewhere on the net? Would be interresting to hear some more.
I'd heard of Deathspank but didn't know much about it until now. Looks alot like a Double Fine game (YEEEEEEESSSSSS!) Looks like an instant buy for me, I just gotta see if it's better (or cheaper) on Steam or 360. Thanks! I don't have anything uploaded, but I was thinking about digging through all these hard drives just lying about to recover all my art and music from over the years. I'll post some of the better music tracks when get an ide to usb converter. (:
I love that game. I honestly hope it does well for EA so they push more into the "free to play" model Asia seems to be jamming on. World of Warcraft and Team Fortress 2 seem to be kicking ass income wise, so here's to hope!
Yeah, and another reason for hoping it's doing good is that game studios would make more games with unique graphics instead of boring "realistic" graphics
Speaking of games, the game you have a link to here: [link] has really cool visuals! Have you done the music yourself too?
My female version seems like nothing compared to this masterpiece D;
I like your BF Heroes drawings. I checked out your video and with such patience you'll be as good as anybody if you keep on drawing.
